A tebenna is a rounded mantle that Etruscan men and women wore.
The Etruscans were a people who lived in the Etruria region of Italy,located between the Tiber and Arno rivers, and continued their existence until the 6th century BC.They were identified by the Ancient Romans as Etrusci or Tusci,while the Greeks identified them as Tyrrhen or Tyrsen.
It is argued that the origin of the Etruscans is based on the civilizations of Asia Minor,that is,Anatolia.
Some of the Etruscan people,who called themselves Rasena,and their culture gradually merged with the Roman Empire.The Etruscans were at a far more advanced level of civilization than other peoples of their time in Italy.It is now established that Roman civilization,from the deities of Etruscan mythology and their law to road-building techniques,derives its roots almost entirely from Etruscan civilization.

The best method for cleaning is with a damp soft sponge or cloth. Please do not use any abrasive cleaners or pads,this will scratch the image.
Please Note: Tumbled stone tile is a natural product. Variations in color,texture,plus noticeable cracks and flaws are to be expected as that is the nature of the product. Due to this,print colors may vary from tile to tile and you may see graining or crystallization.
